We’re on a mission to become the most trusted lighting and visual production partner.
And you could be part of that.
a bit about us
From the outside, Zeal is known for world-class lighting and visual production. Inside, we’re known for how we work.
We design and deliver live shows and events from under one roof – partnering with artists, creatives, producers, agencies, venues, and teams who care about both ambition and execution.
The result is work that’s imaginative, meticulous, and thoughtfully delivered.
We’re curious by nature, collaborative by default, and serious about our craft – but never at the expense of trust, authenticity, or people feeling supported to do their best work.
The quality of what we produce matters. But how it’s made, and who it’s made with, matters just as much.
why this role exists
As our projects grow in scale and complexity, we need people who take real pride in how equipment is prepped, handled, and cared for.
This role exists to help make sure the warehouse runs seamlessly, that equipment is in top condition to be sent out on projects, and ready to be used again when it comes back.
what you’ll be doing
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Prepping kit for upcoming projects – picking, testing and packing it, so what lands on site is ready to go
- De-prepping on return – checking everything back in, flagging damage and getting it back on the shelf ready for the next show
- Loading and unloading vehicles, and getting transport out on time
- Cleaning, servicing and basic fault-finding – keeping kit in a condition we’re happy to put our name to
- Keeping records up to date – scanning kit in and out, logging faults and repairs, and supporting PAT testing and stock takes
- Helping with warehouse builds and fabrication when projects need it
- Looking after the space itself – keeping the warehouse tidy, organised and safe
what we’re looking for
You’ll probably be great at this if you…
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Share our core values
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Are keen to learn new skills
- Have good attention to detail
- Have great communication skills
- Are IT literate
- Are able to prioritise workloads
Bonus points if you have…
- First aid training – we can provide this if not
- Counterbalance forklift training – again, we can sort this if not
- Experience within the live events industry
- A full UK driving licence
what it’s like to work here
We might be biased, but we love it here.
- We look out for each other
- We are calm under pressure
- We have high standards (and hold each other to them)
- We take the work seriously – but not ourselves
the important stuff
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our warehouse in Basingstoke.
Core hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Friday. That said, live events don’t always stick to office hours, so flexibility is part of the deal.
last but definitely not least
We’re out to create more imaginative and emotive moments for everyone, and we celebrate diversity amongst our audiences and our team.
We are committed to inclusion and equality across race, gender, sexuality, age, religion, identity, and experience.
We also know we have a long way to go, so are particularly keen to hear from you if you are from an underrepresented group within our industry.
